Release Notes

Core v1.25 - Fly High, Twitter Bird. Hello, X.

| By

In the DigiComm team's latest release, we bid adieu to the iconic Twitter bird.

The Twitter bird logo has been replaced by the new X logo. It remains to be seen whether this is an attempt to uplift the most unsung letter of the Latin alphabet or the company's latest move targeting its (undoubtedly massive) ornithologist user base.

We’ve also updated the page banner feature to use the Velocity templating language.

Improvements

  • All instances of the FontAwesome Twitter bird icon have been replaced with the Twitter X logo. The classes fa-twitter and fa-x-twitter will now show the X logo. If you need the Twitter logo for nostalgic or historical reasons, you can use fa-bird-twitter.
  • Page Banner feature has been moved to Velocity.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with the featured news item feature within the news list component preventing the item from linking properly.
  • Fixed an issue where a hidden navigation item that was the current page was appearing in the mobile version of the main navigation.
