Happy new year to all!
Our first update of the year to the Core template is focused on improving the usability of our profile modules and making small quality-of-life improvements across the board.
If a member of your team has multiple roles or an extremely long title, then you will be pleased to hear our profile module now supports the display of full titles with the option to truncate after a set number of characters. This option is now the default for any new profile modules, but feel free to set character limits if you are trying to make your page more concise.
You can now also mark individual profiles as “Do not link.” Before, the entire profile module had to be linked or unlinked. Now, you can set the module as linked and select some profiles to be excluded from linking. This is especially useful for departments where everyone needs to be listed but only select team members need their profile pages linked.
As always, this update also had us squashing bugs, like an issue with our Carousel module causing right-side text to break the display.
Please send us reports of any issues you encounter at digimaint@fiu.edu, so we can continue improving our template and enhancing your web experience!
We also want to give a shout-out to our new student developer Nathan for this release, his first major contribution to the Core template. 📣
