Core v1.43 – Improved FAQs, Calendars, simpler galleries and improved filtering experience

| By

As we settle into 2026, we have a few new improvements and fixes for the Core template. First of all, we've made the Lists and Feeds module compatible with Panther Connect events RSS. Now the "Add to Calendar" button displays automatically at the bottom, and the date is automatically tied to the RSS feed.

Blog filters now have a dismissible pill format. This allows users to click an X icon next to the category to deselect instead of choosing a separate category.

Users can now designate an accordion list as an FAQ to improve SEO/GEO. We've previously written on the importance of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), so it's worth considering for your content.

Simple photo galleries can now be created within a module's editor. The option must be implemented in the HTML view rather than as a distinct module. We've included a sample below. Look out for a future blog post with more details about using this new feature.

The "Back to Top" arrow is now enabled by default. Users now have the option to select a fixed background when using Multimedia Background modules. Finally, we fixed the bug where the outline button was not working when using the padded box within the WYSIWYG.

If you have any questions about this new release or run into a bug, please send us an email at digimaint@fiu.edu. We’re always happy to help!
