To improve FIU’s web presence, the Office of Digital Communications is reviewing websites to ensure they’re up to date and being actively maintained. In some cases, we’re recommending archiving old or outdated sites.
The university recently published an updated Digital Communications Standards Policy, which outlines the conditions for maintaining a compliant website.
Among the policy updates is the requirement that website owners or editors register any FIU website or app with the Division of Marketing & Strategic Communications. Our goal is to have a point of contact for every website and provide site editors with the resources to keep their websites up to date and accessible.
