There are a few different ways to find old content in Cascade. If you're looking for a page or other asset that was deleted within the last 30 days, you can check the trash. If you're trying to see an older version of an existing page, you can compare and restore previous versions of your page.

If all else fails, check out the Wayback Machine on archive.org.

What is the Wayback Machine?

The Wayback Machine is the means by which any user, free of charge, can browse the Internet Archive's collection of millions of archived websites, pages and more.

Who maintains the Wayback Machine?

Archive.org and the Wayback Machine are maintained by the non-profit digital library Internet Archive.

Why do they do this?

The Internet Archive was created to help preserve digital artifacts and create an internet library for researchers, historians, and scholars.

When and or how often do they save pages?

The frequency in which the Internet Archive saves pages depends on varying factors including the prominence and size of the website. As a university, FIU.edu and other university websites seem to be crawled more often than other websites. You can read more in Forbes' A Behind The Scenes Look At Archiving The Web.

How do I search the Wayback Machine?

Visit archive.org and type your URL into the Wayback Machine search bar.
