What’s a Siteimprove Policy
Siteimprove’s (SI) Policy feature scans your website, flags designated words, documents or media files and lists every page where the content is and how many times it appears on a page.
SI policies are essentially a sitewide search tool that helps you maintain consistency and control of your content. Learn how to create a policy for your website.
Pitbull Stadium policy
In August 2024, FIU announced a partnership with Grammy-winning artist and Miami native Armando “Pitbull” Pérez, renaming the football stadium to Pitbull Stadium. This latest change suddenly made all previous naming conventions of the football stadium incorrect and outdated.

Here at DigiComm, we created an SI Policy to scan all FIU websites for any mention of the stadium’s old names:
- Riccardo Silva Stadium
- FIU Stadium
Our team was specifically looking for any reference of the stadium’s old names in current content, such as “Attend F1rst Night at FIU Stadium.” The Pitbull Stadium policy helped us quickly identify which of the several thousands of FIU web pages mentioned the old stadium.
When making content edits based on an SI policy, you should consider the long-term outlook of the edit. Before making any changes, ask yourself the following:
- Is the content factually incorrect?
- Is the content out-of-date?
- Does the content follow the university guidelines/policies?
- Is the information historical and/or archival for record-keeping?
With this specific policy, we didn’t update any previous historical mention of the stadium, such as the old name in an FIU News story before August 2024, FIU football box scores or the stadium name on event pages that took place before the name change.
SI Policies are a powerful tool that can turn an hours-long process into mere minutes of your time.
