On September 8, 2026, the Office of Digital Communications enabled FIU Single Sign-on (SSO) for Cascade. From now on, you will need to use your FIU login information to log in and access your website.
What does this mean?
Previously, users logged in to Cascade on a system that was separate from FIU SSO—the login system you use for your email, myFIU and other FIU sites.
This caused small technical issues that we wanted to solve. We solved them by transitioning Cascade to FIU SSO!
What does this mean for you?
Short answer: Probably nothing. Most users will be able to log in to Cascade just like they were logging in before the transition.
The only difference will be logging in through a screen that says "FIU" instead of "Cascade" and using two-factor authentication.
A few users may run into issues from not having their FIU accounts listed for their sites on Cascade. Please reach out if you have any kind of trouble logging in, either FIU IT or DigiComm can lend you a hand depending on the issue.
- If you can't log to your FIU account at all: Submit a ticket with FIU IT.
- If you can log in, but can't access Cascade or your website: Send us an email with your full name, email and academic unit.
