As everyone settles in for the start of the Spring 2024 semester and the back half of the fiscal year, it's a good time to start thinking about the goals you set back in June for your website.

There's bound to be lots of editing to do as you dust off your plan to spruce up your department's website, and we're here to help!

👋 New Users

If you're a new user or you need a refresher on using Cascade, you can visit our New User Resources page and our Cascade Guide.

Need access to one of our systems? See our recent posts about getting access to Cascade, Siteimprove and the FIU Calendar:

👷 New Projects

If you're looking to start a project, read through our Best Practices page to get off on the right foot. We also have resources for:

If you're looking to collaborate on a web project with the Office of Digital Communications, now is a good time to open a project request.

😕 Having trouble logging in to Cascade?

Whether it’s your first time logging in to Cascade or you suddenly can't access the system, read our post covering the most common reasons for Cascade login issues and how to solve them.

🤔 Is Cascade down?

Those of you who opened your laptops over the winter break may find you're now getting error messages after successfully logging in to Cascade. This can happen from time to time when switching networks (moving from one Wi-Fi to another) while logged in to the CMS or just from leaving your session idle for a very long time.

Clearing your cookies is probably all you need to do, but it's always good to know what to do if you think Cascade isn't working.

📝 Additional Notes from DigiComm

We have lots of great things in the works for the template like our codebase transition to Velocity, upgrades for our blog feature and lots of improvements and bug fixes. If you have any suggestions for the template, you can submit an idea through our template request form.

Keep up to date with feature releases and other announcements through the Core Resources Blog and the FIU Digital team on Microsoft Teams.

If you have any questions, we're available via digimaint@fiu.edu during regular business hours.

Good luck, and have a great semester!
